Write the way you text
mwoyo adds the “Dear…”, the subject line and your signature on the way out. Formal or personal is set per person — mwoyo guesses, and you can change it. Your own words go exactly as you wrote them.

Read just the message
Incoming email is tidied: greetings, signatures, disclaimers and the quoted history are taken out, and the bubble says what was. The original is one tap away under “View as email”.

Messages between mwoyo users are sealed on your device with a key locked by your password, which never reaches us. A stored mwoyo-to-mwoyo message is one we cannot read.

Email to and from people outside mwoyo is ordinary email, which nobody can encrypt end to end. mwoyo reads it to write subjects, run your rules and check for scams, and keeps it in your account.

What people ask
Is a mwoyo email address really free?
Yes. An @mwoyo.me address is free for good, with 2 GB for files. Plus is R49 a month for more drafted replies, 20 GB and gudo's print extras, and you can cancel any time.
Do the people I email need mwoyo?
No. They get an ordinary email with a greeting, a subject and your signature, and their replies come back into your chat with them.
Can I keep my Gmail?
Yes. Connect Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud and other mailboxes with an app password, and their mail joins the same list. You choose which address each email goes from. Outlook and Hotmail can't be connected yet.
Where is my email stored?
In Cape Town, South Africa, under POPIA. mwoyo has no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics and no advertising profile.
Can mwoyo read my email?
Messages between mwoyo users are sealed on your device, and we can't read them. Ordinary email from outside mwoyo can't be sealed like that by anyone: mwoyo reads it to write subjects, run your rules and check for scams.
Can I choose any name for my address?
Any name that's free, with one exception: the names of real people and companies, and look-alikes of them, are held back so that nobody can pose as someone they aren't.
